About

I am research scientist at the Institute of Biophysics (Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Krasnoyarsk, Russia). I am focused on two primary research areas – ecophysiology of Cladocera and Food web studies in salt lakes.

This blog is an attempt to follow best research on salt (or saline) lakes. The ideology of the blog is very simple – to post about new interesting papers. I am also member-at-large at the International Society for Salt Lake Research. Hopefully my blog will help to promote salt lake research in general and the society in particular. Indeed, I believe that salt lakes much more interesting than freshwater ones. Just follow my blog and you will find that salt lakes are amazing natural and scientific objects.
